Apavadis
The company
- Spin-off of the IRCC in Candiolo (Turin); established in 2006, it operates in the field of tumour diagnosis and therapy.
- Apavadis’ products are peptides that bind to and inhibit the function of aminopeptidase A (APA project) or bind with the complex E-cadherin/α6 integrin (Project META). Applications include hepatic tumors, but also endometriosis.
- Two patents filed in 2004 and 2006.

Current Status
- Validated APA e META as tumoral target.
- Demonstrated that APA and META peptides specifically bind to and limit the growth of target tumors in vitro and in vivo.
- Feasibility agreement with international companies in the field of imaging and radiopharmaceuticals to evaluate the use of APA peptides as diagnostic in oncology.
