We are pleased to announce the birth of our tenth start-up company, Glyconova. The founder and President of Glyconova is Dr. Giancarlo Ghiselli. Dr. Ghiselli during his career had covered key positions at academic and pharmaceutical industry institutions both in Italy and the United States and made contribution to the field of atherosclerosis and cancer. 

The mission of Glyconova is to exploit the knowledge on the biology of cell surface glycosaminoglycans to specifically target tumor growth and metastasis.

By comparing the biosynthetic activity of these naturally occurring complex polysaccharides in normal and in affected tissues Glyconova has identified genetic targets useful for the development of a new class of drugs.
